Whatcom Community Foundation Awards $25,000 to Brigid Collins
In support of the Family Support Team program, Whatcom Community Foundation recently awarded Brigid Collins Family Support Center $25,000 to prevent and reduce violence towards children in our community.

The economic downturn has increased stress in many households. For families previously struggling, the challenges have become enormous.

Research shows that decreasing stress levels for parents decreases the risk of neglect or abuse for children. Using evidence-based programs, Brigid Collins provides essential support services for families. Family support professionals assist parents with accessing local resources and learning how to deal with difficult parenting issues.
